Mattress and Box Spring Recycling

Mattresses and box springs that would have ended up in landfills are accepted for a fee of $15 each at our Minneapolis location; it is best to make an appointment so we can help with the unloading. The mattresses and box springs are dismantled and the materials are separated for recycling. If the mattresses are moldy or wet and/or have individually-wrapped coils, there is an additional charge. Mattresses with bed bugs are not accepted. For quantities of mattresses or box springs of 40 or more, please contact us to make arrangements for drop-off. Battery Recycling

We have contracts to collect batteries from many facilities around the county, and they are sorted at our Minneapolis location. We do not accept batteries from the general public. Recycling batteries keeps harmful toxins away from the waste stream.

Medical Blue Wrap Recycling

Hospital blue wrap is a highly specialized polypropylene plastic product used as a durable, sterile protective cover to wrap and store sterilized instrument trays in operating rooms and clinics. Blue wrap is completely recyclable and most hospitals and medical facilities dispose of it in a landfill. Second Chance Recycling collects, bales and sells blue wrap to companies in the Upper Midwest. These companies turn the blue wrap into new products such as toys, recycling containers, garbage cans and other plastic items.
